Advancing knowledge through experimentation, measurement and mathematics

What Is Science?

Science: from Latin scientia "knowledge, a knowing; expertness"

Scientists investigate in a systematic way the properties of the natural world and its underlying mechanisms. Progress in scientific knowledge is achieved through a combination of building theoretical models, designing and conducting experimental tests and making coherent connections with other related disciplines.
